Job Advert: KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Swindon
Salary: £100 - £150
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate KS1 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team In a friendly primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HLTA to make a real impact on the learning and development of our Key Stage 1 students.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teaching and learning in KS1, working closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
* Lead small group interventions and 1:1 sessions to support students' learning and development.
* Cover classes in the absence of the class teacher, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
* Assist with the assessment of students’ progress and contribute to the preparation of reports.
* Encourage and support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development in line with the school’s values.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Person Specification:
* HLTA Qualification or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in a KS1 setting is essential.
* A thorough understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early childhood development.
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
* Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
