About the Role
Jumpstart your engineering career in this entry-level role, perfect for anyone with a keen eye for detail and a knack for problem-solving! Focusing on supporting the creation of detailed order acknowledgments and technical documentation, you’ll work on processing orders, creating precise order acknowledgments, and developing technical drawings. This is your first step towards a Contracts Engineer role, with full CAD and order processing training provided.
Key Responsibilities
* Order Processing:
* Work on simple and small orders independently, creating accurate order acknowledgments.
* Produce clear manufacturing instructions to ensure timely and precise order completion.
* Where necessary, create accurate manufacturing drawings and sketches to accompany orders.
* Client Interaction:
* Act as a point of contact for clients, handling queries via email and phone for straightforward orders.
* Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve order queries effectively.
* Inventory Management:
* Gain familiarity with company products and requisition components as needed.
* Develop knowledge of parts required for specific orders, particularly for spares.
* Support Tasks:
* Assist the Sales Department as instructed.
* Maintain high standards of quality and health & safety, in line with BS EN ISO 9001 guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications:
* GCSEs: Grade 6 or above in Maths and English, and Grade 5 in Physics.
* Post-GCSE: At least one relevant A-Level at Grade C or above, or BTEC Level 3 equivalent.
* Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a methodical approach.
* Keen interest in engineering processes and product details.
* Training:
* CAD and order processing training provided.
* Opportunities for learning more complex aspects of order processing and creating bespoke engineering drawings.
