Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to Year 4 students
  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons that are in line with the National Curriculum
  • Providing support and guidance to students, ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, tracking their achievements and identifying areas for improvement
  • Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and behaviour
  • Participating in school events, such as parent-teacher meetings and extracurricular activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement a dynamic and comprehensive school curriculum

Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary school students, ideally in Year 4
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Good behaviour management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Enhanced DBS check and professional references
