Commercial Finance Manager

The commercial finance manager will ensure that the company's financial health is robust and that strategic decisions are informed by thorough financial analysis. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the business's financial future and ensuring its operational and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis to understand performance drivers and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with department heads and senior management to drive financial performance.
- Provide financial advice and support to various business units, including marketing, sales, and operations.
- Work closely with the sales team to analyse customer profitability and product margins.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for executive management and the board of directors.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal financial policies.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and coordinate audits.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and integration processes.
- Support financial projects to drive cost optimization and process improvements.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with business operations.
The successful candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within the retail industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
