Job Description
Axon Moore are engaged in a search for an Interim Head of Tax for a large multinational business in East Yorkshire, which has arisen due to their continued expansion and development.
This role is to lead an existing tax function and is an all-encompassing tax leadership role playing a pivotal role in both corporate and strategic objectives of the business.
Internally, this role is seen as fundamental to assisting the corporate team and supporting the needs of the business, whilst being highly visible across the business and having large amounts of exposure to the CFO and CEO.
The key areas of expertise and influence for this role will include:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects tax compliance, tax planning and accounting for tax
Managing tax aspects of mergers, disposals and acquisitions and implementing tax strategy
Act as the lead Tax Expert in the business and remain abreast of emerging tax laws
Comply with all necessary tax legislation whilst make savings and minimising tax bills
Compile all required documents concerning tax and be the point of contact for HMRC
Maintaining the Group’s tax timetable and ensuring compliance
Ensure compliance with global transfer pricing requirements
Play active role in Pillar 2 compliance for the business and its wider group
Liaison with the Group's tax advisers co-ordinating expert assistance where necessary with aim to reduce reliance on third party support
Ensure compliance with global transfer pricing requirements
Leading a small tax team
This is a high-profile position that requires strong networking and influencing skills, managing relationships both internally and externally with advisers and HMRC. It will offer flexibility and hybrid working.
