We are currently recruiting for a Humanities teacher to start ASAP. This is full time at an alternative provision Academy in the South of Leeds. You will need to be confident at teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 students. The unit provides Education for students that have been excluding from mainstream schools and will have behavioural difficulties. They will require someone with a thick skin, determination and enthusiasm in their Teaching and learning style. Class sizes are very small with around maximum of 8 pupils per class.
Job spec & Description:
Must of QTS or equivalent
Must have a degree and have a specialist subject sociology Humanities, Geography, History, or equivalent.
Plan & Prepare lessons adapted to encourage development.
Strong behaviour management.
Clear spoken communication
Follow school behaviour policies.
Motivate and engage pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative in their delivery.
Have DBS on Subscription Service or willing to apply for a new one.
-Competitive rates of pay from between £150 - £220 per day (AWR Compliant)
