Job Advertisement: 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work with a Year R girl with complex ASD and communication & interaction needs. This role is due to start after half term.
Key Details:
Position: 1:1 SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Start Date: After half term
Location: Small village school (no public transport available - driving is essential)
Role: Supporting a Year R girl transitioning into school with complex ASD and communication & interaction needsKey Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 support to a young child with ASD, helping her transition smoothly into school life
Implement tailored strategies to support the child's communication and interaction needs
Foster a calm, nurturing, and patient learning environment
Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to ensure the child's needs are met effectively
Monitor and report on the child's progress, adjusting support as necessaryIdeal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and communication needs
A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with the child
Understanding of early years development and transition
A driver with access to a vehicle (no public transport to the school)This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's early educational journey within a supportive and close-knit village school community.
