Role: Plumber
Salary: £18-£20ph
Located: Birmingham
Hours: Full-time
This is an exciting role for a knowledgeable Plumber, with experience in plumbing installation, maintenance and repair, to join a successful team based Birmingham.
The role involves ensuring that all plumbing systems are in excellent working condition and meet relevant standards and regulations. You will be carrying out work in vacant residential and commercial properties, preparing them for new occupants efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in properties.
* Replace old or damaged plumbing fixtures and systems as part of property refurbishment.
* Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Communicate effectively with property managers and other stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
* Ensure all plumbing work is completed to a high standard of quality and craftsmanship.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven expertise in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a plumber, with specific experience working in vacant properties preferred. CSCS card, working at Heights, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Face Fit (preferred).
* Relevant trade certifications or licenses in plumbing.
* Strong ability to diagnose issues and provide effective solutions.
* Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
* Proficiency in using a variety of plumbing tools and equipment.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
