Legal Aid Children/Care Lawyer

Job Description
TeamJobs e are seeking an experienced Family Law Solicitor (5+ years PQE) to join our clients dynamic legal aid practice. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head of our Family Department.
You will be primarily based at the Bridgwater office, with opportunities for hybrid (home) working and the possibility of working from other offices in Taunton, West Bradley, and/or Yeovil.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and manage a caseload, handling all aspects of Child Care and Legal Aid work, including client care, expert representation, and advocacy.
Assist in managing and supervising Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Paralegals.
Deliver appropriate training and development within the department, providing technical expertise and guidance to team members.
Manage a variety of legally aided public and private children cases, including Care, Placement and Adoption proceedings, child abduction, and child protection issues.
Maintain accurate and complete files and records in compliance with SRA/SQM and Legal Aid Agency standards.
Assist with the management of the legal aid contract, including billing, legal aid applications, and compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements.Key Skills Required:
Must hold a clean, valid Practising Certificate at the time of applying.
At least 5 years of PQE in Family Law.
Strong knowledge of legal aid funding.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Highly organized, capable of managing a varied workload under pressure.
Patience and tact when assisting vulnerable clients.
Proven experience in managing cases involving public and private law children matters.INDCP
