The RoleExciting role for a multiskilled operator to join our Canberra Bureau. The role involves generating distinctive video and stills for broadcast and digital news coverage and providing production support with sound recording and editing. Day to day, the role will include:
Initiating production ideas and concepts news stories and story projects and delivering edited video and still content across broadcast and digital platforms.
Providing support in planning for general and major news events.
Maintaining interest in news events and issues with a view to generating and contributing creative video content.
About YouYou are an experienced multiskilled operator with an understanding of the role video, stills and sound play in bringing news stories to life to engaging local, national and international audiences.You’ll have:
Demonstrated capability in video editing, preferably in a high-pressure news environment.
Collaborative workstyle with an ability to contribute positively in a new team environment.
Willingness to work rotating shifts across a seven-day roster, travel domestically and internationally and to adapt to changing work practices as required
