The Role
ABC Radio Canberra is seeking two content makers to produce live radio programs in Canberra.
Reporting to the Canberra Content Director, you will:
• Create content for multiple platforms to actively engage local and national audiences with a focus on a daily radio program.• Contribute to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas• Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests.• Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC.• Drive community engagement projects to reach new audiences

About You
You will bring strong audio program making skills as well as the ability to perform live crosses and report from the field. You should also have:
• Proficient editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information quickly• Accomplished audio editing skills and the ability to perform under pressure during live radio programming• Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the diversity of the Canberra community.• Detailed knowledge of local issues, with a particular focus on outer-suburban and diverse communities.
