We are seeking a Substation Draftsperson to contribute to high-quality substation design and drafting services within a dynamic engineering and design team. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that power communities while enhancing your technical expertise.


What You'll Be Doing:



  • Deliver detailed design and drafting for substation projects in a multidisciplinary environment.

  • Utilize your skills to ensure compliance with industry standards, managing design tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and training to junior team members on drafting standards, drawing management, and software usage.

  • Collaborate with other professionals, fostering open communication and continuous improvement to ensure the success of each project.

  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing service delivery and enhancing safety outcomes.

What You'll Need:



  • A 2-year diploma in Engineering or higher.

  • 10+ years of experience in substation primary, civil & structural and/or secondary detail design and drafting.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and CAD applications, particularly Microstation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of substation design, drafting regulations, and other related engineering disciplines.
