Job Description

About the Role


This initial 12-month role (potential for extension) is key to the success in the study and delivery of various rail projects. The role will be based in Perth with the requirement to travel to the Pilbara on an ad hoc basis. The role will primarily support the review and approval of track and civil designs and other project deliverables.



About the Role



  • An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

  • Support the Project Manager so the project works can be carried out safely, as per schedule, within the budget and in line with the quality standards.

  • Work with stakeholders to develop Scopes of Work that meet stakeholder requirements and deliver best value to the business.

  • Develop and review project governance documentation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enable high quality design solutions to be developed.

  • Perform technical design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant internal and external Standards.

  • Step-up and safely challenge existing processes to achieve best-practice for all key phases of the projects.



Qualifications:



  • Registered Professional Engineer accreditation (or equivalent)

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (or equivalent) - Track or Civil preferred.

  • Current full Western Australian "C" class motor vehicle license.



Experience:



  • Minimum 10 years' experience in similar Track design and construction.

  • Knowledge of railroad track maintenance and track renewal practices.

  • Strong experience in "whole of rail" rail system delivery.

  • Strong experience in project delivery and project governance.
