Job Description

Our client is seeking a Site Manager for their Out-posted Centre during the upcoming election period starting Mid November in Shepperton. The OPC is a central hub for election activities, where election materials are processed, stored, and dispatched, and where ballot papers are counted. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of the site.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage the setup, operational management, and decommissioning of the OPC.

  • Oversee the receipt and dispatch of election materials and ballot papers.

  • Ensure Work Health and Safety (WHS) protocols are implemented and adhered to.

  • Coordinate and supervise temporary polling staff.

  • Liaise with external providers for services such as utilities, cleaning, and security.

  • Support the Divisional Returning Officer (DRO) and OPC Project Manager to ensure all operational objectives are met.


Work Hours & Conditions:



  • 9-5pm , Additional work in the lead up to the election or weekend work.


Key Requirements:



  • Prior experience in project or operations management or warehouse management

  • Strong organisational and leadership skills.

  • Familiarity with WHS principles.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Australian citizenship, a valid driver's license, and willingness to undergo a police check.
