He angitūtanga: The opportunity
Programmed is a Full Facility maintenance provider looking after Auckland's parks, Council Cemeteries, sports fields, streetscape, community buildings.
This role will see you employed as an assistant Grounds person at Waikumete Cemetery.
At Programmed we deliver a high standard quality outcome in Turf maintenance (including mowing, edging and spraying) and other horticultural activities such as maintenance of annual/perennial beds and rose gardens, hedge trimming and mulching.
You will be based at Waikumete Cemetery, working with a team that covers the maintenance of this site and is part of a wider Horticulture team of around 60 great people that work on other sites.
He kōrero mōu: About you
- Naturally, you will have passion for green spaces and enjoying working outdoors
- Previous experience in horticulture or turf maintenance would be viewed as a positive but not necessary
- A Clean full or restricted New Zealand Class 1 driver licence with the ability to drive a manual
- Willing to listen & learn how to do things on site.
- Learn & grow into the horticulture industry.

You will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5-days roster).
There is also some overtime opportunity at a rate of time and half after 40 hours worked.
