Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Plant Operator to join our team. You will operate various heavy machinery and equipment to support infrastructure projects and maintenance operations across the Shire. If you are passionate about community contributions and committed to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Heavy Machinery Operation: Operate and maintain excavators, loaders, graders, and other equipment.
- Road Maintenance: Assist in road construction, grading, sealing, and drainage work.
- Equipment Checks: Conduct pre-start checks and regular maintenance for safety and efficiency.
- Team Collaboration: Work with team members to complete projects on time and to specifications.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety protocols and promote a positive safety culture.
Qualifications
- Current and valid plant operator tickets (e.g., HR license, relevant machinery tickets).
- Previous experience in civil works or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
