What you'll be doing
Provide professional specialist care to public and private patients of the facility, consistent with the clinical privileges and role delineation determined by Far West Local Health District. Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

The Far West Local Health District is one of 15 LHDs under NSW Health, providing high quality public health services to the communities in far west NSW. Our vision is to create excellence in rural and remote healthcare.

Selection Criteria
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a category consistent with required role and responsibilities.
- Fellowship of the relevant College or other specialist recognition as provided for in the Visiting Medical Officer Determination and Demonstrated commitment to continuing medical education.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to the defined standards of ethical and professional conduct consistent with the current NSW Health Code of Conduct and/or relevant professional standards.
- Demonstrated technical and professional competence in the specialty, including appropriate and recent hospital experience within the specialty.
- Demonstrated participation in and commitment to quality improvement and accreditation activities relevant to the specialty and demonstrated commitment to and participation in teaching of other health professionals.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplinary health care team.
- Valid NSW Working with Children Check.
