HammondCare is an independent Christian charity that exists to improve the quality of life for people in need. We specialise in palliative care, aged and dementia care, mental health services for older people, rehabilitation and other related health and aged care services. HammondCare seeks to embed evidence-based best practices in its services and we provide these services through home care, sub-acute hospitals and residential aged care.

Bringing these health, hospital and aged care services together, HammondCare has been able to develop innovative, flexible care models designed to serve people with complex health or aged care needs, regardless of their circumstances. The Registrar works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge. This is a fixed-term, full-time or part-time contract and can be either from now until Feb 2025 or from Feb 2025 to Aug 2025 based at Braeside Hospital, Rehabilitation Service.

• Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient care
• Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertaken
• Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist Supervisor

• Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action
• Medical Registration by the Medical Board of Australia
• Primary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO
• Competence in the individual specialty area is expected to be consistent with the level of training and professional development stage attained by the individual occupying the position
• Strong administrative and computer skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Empathy and patience.
