  • Health care facilities include Mount Druitt, Blacktown, Auburn, Westmead, and Cumberland Hospitals.
  • The role is part of a casual nursing and midwifery pool across the district.
  • Emphasises delivering high-quality care and related services in diverse settings.

What you'll be doing
Join Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) as an Assistant in Nursing, where you'll provide individualised patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse/Midwife.

  • Deliver personal care, assist with mobility, and support communication needs of patients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist in technical support functions.
  • Participate in collaborative care and quality improvement activities.
  • Ensure safety and timely reporting of incidents or patient safety concerns.
  • Comply with health and safety policies, participating in WHS education and training.

  1. Applicant must hold Certificate III Acute Care (HLT33115) or enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing degree second year
  2. Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
  3. Demonstrated ability to use information technology systems.
  4. Proven ability to be self-motivated, flexible and adaptive as clinical needs arise, and still remain within the scope of practice of an AIN
  5. Demonstrated ability to manage conflict situations in a calm and professional manner
  6. Demonstrate effective verbal and written skills, , including the ability to communicate with the multidisciplinary health care team
