Provide advanced technical development skills within ABC Digital Network’s Technology team, to develop high performance, secure and accessible APIs and services in an efficient manner across ABC’s platforms.
Under the broad direction of the Technical Lead, contribute to the analysis, design and development of complex, re-usable components, and functionality for a broad range of uses.
Maintain a high level of awareness of best practice in the industry for server-side development, particularly in areas such as performance, security; and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Continually improve the quality of output and maintain the integrity of professional documentation.
ABOUT YOU
Outstanding enterprise-level experience with Golang and extensive background in server-side development are essential, in conjunction with a willingness to work with PHP as part of ongoing maintenance and periodic feature enhancements on the legacy system.
Demonstrated detailed knowledge and experience in using modern frameworks and build tools, implementing automated/unit testing, and version control branching, merging and versioning strategies. Demonstrated substantial experience developing very complex, secure and high-performance software for a range of platforms and devices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to foster open and creative relationships within and across teams.
Excellent planning and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise projects and tasks, and investigate, diagnose, and solve complex technical problems.
Knowledge of publishing, media delivery and content workflows is highly desirable.
