About the Opportunity
Programmed are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to lead our fleet operations in New Zealand. Reporting to the Group Fleet Manager ANZ, you will oversee the full lifecycle of our fleet assets, ensuring they meet operational, compliance, and governance standards.
In this role, you'll work across two divisions, serving as the Subject Matter Expert, driving data-informed decisions, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your technical expertise, business insight, and leadership will support stakeholders in selecting and modifying fleet assets, using a whole-of-life approach to cost analysis.

Through exceptional management, your key responsibilities will be:
- Champion a Zero Harm workplace, prioritising safety at every level.
- Establish and maintain a Trusted Advisor role by delivering expert technical and business guidance.
- Enhance operational efficiency by developing and reporting key performance indicators that improve safety and fleet utilisation.
- Support operations staff with fleet administrative tasks through effective communication, education, and system-driven solutions.
- Provide data-driven insights and industry expertise to aid in business unit decision-making.
- Proactively manage supplier contracts and obligations, including negotiating pricing and supply agreements.
- Contribute to the growth of the ANZ Fleet Team by sharing knowledge and fostering collaboration.
- Assist in developing and implementing an ANZ strategy to support NetZero targets.
About You
To excel in this role, you’ll bring experience managing a national fleet for a medium to large service delivery provider or organisation with similar fleet. We’re looking for someone with a 'can-do' attitude, a proven record of delivering exceptional service, strong people engagement skills, and a passion for outstanding client relationship management. You will also possess the following:
- Tertiary qualification in business or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Customer-centric mentality and deep industry knowledge.
- Experience with fleet or asset management software, including Telematics.
- Highly developed communication and robust stakeholder engagement ability.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Knowledge of electric or other alternative fuels.
