About the role

Our QCoal Northern Hub Project is seeking an experienced Yards Person for a permanent employment opportunity. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will work collaboratively towards delivering high-quality solutions and results.

The QCoal Northern Hub is situated in the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, about 6km south of Collinsville.

In this role, you will be required to:

· Tractor slashing, whipper snipping and poisoning entrances, workshop compounds and go line crib huts to both Jaxs and Sonoma

· Tidy up bunding around workshop compounds

· Straightening and cleaning workshop compound signage

· Making new signage and repairing old, damaged signage for production

· General building maintenance such as windows, doors, water leaks, etc

· Assisting HV Electrician’s with aircon installs, etc

· Delivering SOS sample to post office

· Franna / IT loader operations around site (desirable)

· General T/A duties with the stores

· Concreting and minor road repairs

· Cleaning out sumps

· Weekly water treatment plant inspection/service

· Pest control around workshop compounds and go line crib huts

What you need to apply?

To be considered for these opportunities you are required to have:

· Be committed to a positive safety culture

· Prior experience in a similar role

· Experience working in an open cut mining environment - highly desirable

· Franna / IT loader RII’s - highly desirable

· Drivers License

· Standard 11
