Job Description
Our client is an independent Western Australian based wholesaler and distributor of various products and services to the agricultural, mining, engineering, dewatering, manufacturing, marine, transport and waste management industries, to name a few.
Their products are sourced from within Australia and from overseas. These include: all types of hoses, clamps, couplings, valves, nozzles, reels and safety products. In addition they supply products to the chemical petroleum and process industries from trusted brands.
Since their commencement in 1992, our client has grown to become recognised as one of the most knowledgeable and reliable industrial hose and fittings distributors in Western Australia.
Duties will include but wont be limited to -
- Reporting to the GM
- Develop new business/sales for our client including project sales to EPC companies and consultancies, supply agreements to end users and transactional sales with end users. Responsibilities:
- Ensures and is responsible for new business development and expansion of existing services within the above listed areas.
- Identifies, evaluates, and converts new business.
- "Hunter" approach generating new business through networking, cold calling, marketing, and following up leads.
- Maintains knowledge of day to day market developments and accurately assesses the opportunities provided.
- Initiates appropriate action to gain maximum advantage of sound opportunities.
- Plans the development strategy to produce penetration of the company's product and/or services into appropriate market segments.
- Liaise with Consultant existing and potential customers giving thorough explanation of products and benefits.
- Establish sales objectives, forecasts, budgets, and policies within the context of the business plan.
- Track orders and be point of contact for clients as equipment is being supplied.
- Formulation of tenders, proposals, and supply contracts.
- Liaise with management to ensure marketing meets the business development requirements.
- Develop an understanding and appreciation of customers' needs through familiarisation of customers operations, objectives, and processes, developing personal relationships, establishing, and maintaining open communication channels through information exchanges.
