We are a friendly established high street practice in Northallerton looking for a Family Solicitor for our busy family law department.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Family Solicitor at Place Blair and Hatch Solicitors, located in Northallerton. You will be responsible for handling legal matters relating to family law, providing advice, drafting documents, representing clients in court and negotiating settlements. Whilst advocacy would enhance the role, this is not essential. You will have the flexibility to organise your diary and the Department for best efficiency. The work is all privately paying (no legal aid) and there is dedicated secretarial support. A bonus scheme is payable.

Qualifications

• Law degree and valid practicing certificate
• Proven experience in family law covering a mixture of finances and children applications
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and professionalism when dealing with sensitive family matters
• Membership of Resolution or a willingness to join Resolution
