Senior Fermentation Scientist (Precision Fermentation)

We are seeking a Senior Fermentation Scientist to lead the development and optimization of precision fermentation processes for producing bio-based, animal-free proteins. This role involves hands-on work in scaling fermentation processes from lab to commercial scale while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbial fermentation and upstream process development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead fermentation process development for bio-based protein production.
• Optimize fermentation workflows and scale-up processes.
• Collaborate with strain engineering, downstream processing, and R&D teams.
• Manage projects and oversee external partnerships (CDMOs/CMOs).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Bioprocess Engineering.
• Strong experience in microbial fermentation, scaling from bench to pilot.
• Experience in process improvement and troubleshooting in fermentation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with precision fermentation and protein production.
• Familiarity with yeast or filamentous fungi in a fermentation environment.
