Job Description

Are you looking for a new permanent career within the print industry? Our client is an established manufacturer of flexible packaging based in Folkestone, Kent. They are currently recruiting for a Flexographic Printer to join there team.

They produce work for the majority of food manufacturers in the UK and Europe, including many large supermarkets using 8 colour presses.

The ideal candidate will have experience in running modern flexographic printing machinery within a high quality environment.

Summary:

  • Permanent Contract
  • Monday to Friday rotating either earlies or lates, 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm
  • Immediate starts available
  • 37.5 hours per week contract
  • £26'800 per year

REQUIREMENTS

  • Demonstrate an ability to learn new skills.
  • Willingness to commit to ongoing training.
  • Capable of working in a team.
  • The capacity to work conscientiously and to set procedures.
  • Methodical approach to tasks.
  • Capacity to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Flexible approach to covering holidays and other absences.
  • Good numeracy skills and the ability to complete paperwork.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Shift work in a factory or similar environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001 procedures, and Basic Food Hygiene principles.
  • Previous experience in running a flexographic printing press.
