This company a fast-paced transport start-up who are focused on reducing pollution. They aim to utilise the latest advancements in tech to disrupt the transport and mobility space.

They are looking for a hands-on CTO to driving the technological vision and strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Set the technical direction, make key architecture decisions, and establish best practices to maintain a cutting-edge tech stack.
• Oversee the development, implementation, and scaling of products, ensuring it meets high standards of quality and performance.
• Be hands-on, especially in the early stages, contributing to coding, troubleshooting, and problem solving
• Play a key role in recruiting top technical talent, building a high-performing engineering team as the company scales.
• Make strategic decisions about in-house development versus leveraging third-party solutions to optimise resources
• Communicate technical concepts and project progress effectively to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment.

Requirements:

• Proven success in leading technology teams and delivering complex, scalable software products in a highgrowth environment.
• PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field is a plus but not mandatory
• An entrepreneurial mindset; experience in a tech-driven start-up is a plus
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL
• Strong knowledge of database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL, Redis, and Chromadb, with experience in cloud services, especially AWS.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, GitHub, and server management with Ubuntu.
