Junior Quality Controller

Purpose of the Job Ensure that products meet internal specifications and OEM requirements. React effectively to nonconforming parts and coordinate with teams to address issues immediately. Use root cause analysis tools to resolve quality problems. Minimum Requirements Educational Qualifications: Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Science Certificate in Quality Assurance Diploma in Quality Assurance or Engineering (preferred) Yellow Belt in Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred) Experience: 3-5 years in an OEM manufacturing environment (preferably Tier 1 or Chemistry Industry) At least 1-2 direct reports Understanding of IATF 16949, automotive core tools, and OEM requirements Knowledge of statistical tools and indices Major Responsibilities Ensure compliance with automotive industry quality standards, including IATF 16949 and OEM requirements. Verify and validate improvements and new product launches. Conduct Layered Process Audits and support area audits. Enhance internal supplier performance and monitor Work In Progress quality. Participate in daily meetings and be a key member of the Fast Response Team. Develop Control Plans and support the FMEA team. Supervise Product/Process Inspectors and review inspection records. Use statistical tools to monitor significant characteristics and conduct Measurement System Analysis. Address customer complaints and support defect reduction initiatives. Provide weekly reports to the QC Manager and maintain quality records. Health, Safety, and Environment Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a positive culture regarding health and safety. Ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
