Legal Counsel, Leading Global Insurer

The client:

A great opportunity has arisen with a leading global insurance firm for a generalist lawyer with insurance experience.

This individual will become a crucial member of the legal team, advising senior stakeholders across the business globally.

Key responsibilities

Working as part of the global legal department advising senior stakeholders on range of matters.

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial contract and insurance specific contracts (TOBAs, MoU, introducer agreements etc)
• Supporting the business with corporate, governance, data privacy, complaints handling legal matters etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and providing legal training to the business when required.
• Liasing with external counsel when required.

The successful candidate

• Qualified lawyer with 2+ years' experience as a lawyer gained in-house and or in private practice
• Solid understanding of insurance law would be highly preferable but not a prerequisite
