The Team
The team is well-known for its expertise in strategic IP advisory services, helping clients navigate complex intellectual property issues related to patents, trademarks, copyrights, and media. The team regularly works with high-profile global companies, providing innovative solutions that help clients protect, manage, and maximise the value of their intellectual property in an evolving digital and technological landscape.
The Role
In this role, the successful candidate will focus on providing strategic IP counsel across a wide range of advisory matters. You will advise on IP portfolio management, assist with transactions involving licensing and technology-related agreements, and provide regulatory and privacy advice related to intellectual property. This position offers significant client interaction and the opportunity to work on cross-border IP matters across a variety of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Advising clients on strategic IP portfolio management and protection
- Assisting with IP transactions, including licensing, technology agreements, and joint ventures
- Providing guidance on regulatory, privacy, and data protection matters related to intellectual property
- Collaborating with cross-practice teams to offer integrated legal solutions
- Supporting clients in navigating complex cross-border IP challenges
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 2 PQE within a reputable IP practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in IP advisory work, including portfolio management and transactions
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in teams
- Familiarity with cross-border IP transactions and multi-jurisdictional advisory work
- A client-focused approach, delivering strategic, practical solutions
Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
