The Team
The Tax (Funds) team is well-regarded for its expertise in managing complex tax matters related to private equity, M&A, and private funds. The London office provides strategic guidance on a comprehensive range of corporate tax issues, including restructuring, structured financings, and cross-border transactions.
Known for their collaborative approach, the team works closely with clients across various sectors such as banking, financial services, and energy, offering tailored solutions to navigate the intricate landscape of tax regulations.
The Role
The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of private funds, including private equity, venture capital, infrastructure, and real estate.
Responsibilities will include:
- Advising fund management teams on sophisticated structures, such as carried interest and co-investments
- Providing support for management buy-outs and spin-outs.
- Assisting in GP-stake transactions and advising on GP-led secondaries and fund restructurings, with a focus on delivering strategic insights to high-profile clients.
Key Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 3-4 PQE in a leading tax or funds practice. The successful applicant should demonstrate:
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on tax legislation and compliance
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective client relationship management
- A proactive and collaborative approach to teamwork
- Experience in navigating complex transactions and providing practical solutions
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting private funds and investment structures
- A commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment
Candidates MUST be a qualified solicitor, ideally qualified in England & Wales or a Commonwealth jurisdiction.
