Key Performance Areas Proposals and Development Concept development and feasibility checks Technical specifications Compilation of enquiry packages Input to Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and schedules Design Development (Industrial and Nuclear) Basic and detailed design development Application of required codes and standards Technical support during installation and commissioning As-built documentation and lessons learned input Departmental and Company Processes Compliance with engineering procedures Interface management with other functional groups Application of project management principles Utilization of ERP and engineering software systems Leadership Guidance of Engineering-in-Training (EIT) staff Promotion of company values Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited university or equivalent Registration as a professional with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) or recognized international body Experience Minimum of 2 years in Design Engineering Experience in the Energy Industry is preferable Competencies Knowledge Learning competence within the applicable Knowledge Area Basic understanding of relevant industries (Nuclear and/or Industrial) Basic knowledge of applicable Codes and Standards Familiarity with company Engineering procedures and processes Basic competence as an Authorized Designer Basic knowledge of Health & Safety Act, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 Understanding of company Integrated Management System (IMS) Skills Proficiency in MS Office suite Basic leadership skills Clear communication (written and spoken) High degree of analytical thinking Adaptability and flexibility Basic administrative and organizational skills Familiarity with engineering software tools (e.g., Process, Stress analysis, Engineering integration) Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) Behaviour Methodical and detail-oriented approach Ability to organize and effectively prioritize workload Strong teamwork orientation Good interpersonal skills Basic conflict management abilities High emotional intelligence (EQ) Commitment to promoting and supporting company Values
