Description:

The Swedish Institute, College of Health Sciences is hiring a full-time Nursing Lab Simulation Coordinator. Under the direct supervision of the Dean of Nursing, the Nursing Skills & Lab Simulation Coordinator is responsible for supporting student learning outcomes, accomplishing managerial duties for the lab learning environment, and participating in program and college governance. The Nursing Skills & Lab Simulation Coordinator manages human and physical resources of the nursing program practice lab, assists and supervises learners, works with faculty in planning learning activities, and maintains adequate resources for skills practice.


Some essential responsibilities will include:

  • Work with nursing faculty in planning and evaluating learning activities
  • Assist learners in practicing nursing skills
  • Evaluate learners' performance
  • Provide remediation as referred
  • Refer learners to faculty or program administration as indicated
  • Prepare student readmitted to the program for reentry
  • Student recruitment activities upon request


Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • With current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Minimum of three years of didactic or clinical nursing teaching experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in simulation and skills lab teaching is preferred.
  • Simulation training is required. Simulation certificate is preferred.
  • Must be able to use and demonstrate various medical equipment and audio-visual equipment.
  • Ability to prepare and organize simulation laboratory and demonstration materials.
  • Current clinical nursing knowledge within area of specialty and ongoing maintenance of clinical competency.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and through learning technologies such as computers and e-mail.
  • Ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, and students as a member of a team.



Compensation details: 85000-100000 Yearly Salary
