Job Description

As a CBRE Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for proactive and reactive building maintenance and repair services for client contracts.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Job Responsibilities

Support clients in an efficient and courteous manner, with a strong focus on customer care.
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities.
Painting and labelling of production pipework.
Painting of walkways and floors
Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
Take measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
Ensure that routine fabric maintenance is carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
Ensure that all reactive tasks logged are carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements.
The Fabric Technician will be required to carry out all moves and changes that the client requires to be carried out.
Undertake painting, decorating, and a full range of DIY tasks to ensure the meeting of service levels and to maintain an attractive decorative environment.
Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the Facilities Supervisor.
Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared ready for Supervisor / Service Delivery management sign off and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices always.
Ensure that fabric and engineering skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning.
Ensure that Fabric Technician and the client storage area is maintained and kept safe and tidy.
Assist when requested with routine daily and weekly plant checks as detailed in the site logbooks.
Ensure the equipment storage areas in the facility are kept clean and tidy daily.
Escort visiting subcontractors around site to ensure safe execution of service-related tasks, and ensure RAMS are reviewed by the Facilities teams according to company and client protocols.
To Ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness and implementation.
Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE always.
Any other task as directed by the site management team.
Ensure all near miss reports, dynamic risk assessments and detailed records of site activities are recorded.

Skills Required

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid Driver's license required.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
