C&I Systems Engineer

Job Purpose: Execute C&I Engineering projects and deliver them on time. Define customer needs and requirements. Develop C&I Engineering solutions per identified customer needs. Ensure the installations and applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards. Evaluate systems safety, performance and reliability Perform detailed Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Designs (LV) Perform Call outs and ensure timeous resolution. Develop PLC coding for solutions. Develop SCADA/HMI and network communication solutions Population of C&I panels (wiring) Systems Specialist & Support for PLC/SCADA/HMI/Networks C&I for Microgrid and Alternative Energy (Systems specialist for Power Monitoring & PLC/SCADA). Support for communications for Inverter & Battery systems for alternative Energy C&I for Critical Equipment Monitoring (Systems specialist for Data Loggers, Field Instruments and support for database and reporting) All other technical systems support and Engineering within C&I Professional Membership preferred: Registered with Engineering Council of South Africa as Professional Engineer/Technologist/Technician or Candidate. Advantage if registered as a Professional Project Manager. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Light Current (BENG) OR, BTECH in Electrical Engineering Light Current OR, S4 Diploma in Electrical Engineering Light Current Required Experience: 3-10 years and above, experience in an Industrial Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Engineering environment (Electrical, Control & Instrumentation) as an C&I Systems Engineer. 3-10 years hands on experience using Design and Calculation software for LV 3-10 years and above PLC Programming, SCADA/HMI and network solutions development and execution 3-10 Years and above experience with successful completion of E,C&I Projects for Industrial Plants 3-10 years and above Field instruments such as Flowmeters, Level, Pressure, Temperature, motion, analysers etc. 3-10 Years and above onsite Commissioning Experience 3-10 years in Project Execution Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Electrical Manufacturing processes Understanding of Electrical Engineering codes and safety standards PLC Programming SCADA/HMI development Network and communications designs and devices Strong organizational and communication skills MS Projects Microsoft Excel Advanced, Windows, Power Point CAD Software and Others Plant Safety Requirements ISO9001 Quality standards Critical Thinking Problem Solving Management Development of Bill of Materials for customer solutions Job Specification & Key Responsibilities: Design, control, and implement Control and Instruments systems and products.
