Fire Door Installer / Carpenter

Job Description
A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for experienced fire door carpenters to join their team. You will be working on domestic projects, carrying out new installations, upgrades and maintenance works too existing doors and frames. The works will be London based and will cover multiple areas with a large housing association. The client will aim to send you to sites closest to your house but you will have to travel further into / around london as well on occassion. The role will be long term ongoing basis. You must have access to a car or van as this is a self employed role paid on CIS basis.
The successful candidate will have:
Car or van
At least two years experience working with fire doors
A strong background in carpentry and joinery
Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
Experience installing fire doors and frames
Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
Experience working on social housing FRA contracts
Own van/transport to carry materials
Roles and responsibilities
Installing and carrying out remedial works to new and existing fire doors
Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
Liaise with customers and members of the general public
What's on offer?
Fire door installations and remedial works to social housing properties across the London
Self employed works on a long term CIS basis with the potential to go direct with the client after a qualifying period
£220.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked
Mileage, parking, congestion charges all reimbursed weekly
Ongoing long term works with a quick start available
