AV Project Engineer Job Role
They are seeking a skilled AV Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in audiovisual systems, be detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills. The candidate will be responsible for planning, setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment for various events and installations, with a specific focus on commercial projects in the retail and leisure sectors.
AV Project Engineer Responsibilities
* Oversee the installation and configuration of AV equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and video walls.
* Lead and operate AV equipment during live events, ensuring high-quality audio and visual output.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain smooth project execution.
* Collaborate closely with clients and team members to understand requirements and deliver an exceptional AV experience.
* Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
* Document setups, configurations, and any technical issues encountered, ensuring all project details are accurately recorded.
AV Project Engineer Skills Requirements:
* Proven experience as an AV Project Engineer working on commercial AV permanent installation projects across retail and leisure environments (not boardrooms and offices).
* Strong knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, and lighting equipment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications in AV technology.
* Experience with advanced AV software and control systems.
* Familiarity with networking and IT as it relates to AV systems.
