Fire Stopper

A leader in the provision of fire protection services is looking for experienced fire stoppers to join their team. You will be working on a large commercial project, carrying out new installations and remediation works to fire resistant materials. The works will be London based and will cover multiple areas with a large housing association. The client will aim to send you to sites close to your location but you will have to travel further into / around london as well on occassion. The role will be on a long term ongoing basis. You must have access to a car or van as this is a self employed role paid on CIS basis

The successful candidate will have:

At least three years’ fire stopping experience

NVQ level 2 passive fire protection

Valid CSCS card

Experience with batt and mastic, fire barrier and compound

Fire curtain experience preferred

Experience working using tracing apps to record works completed

Knowledge of 3rd party accreditation

Asbestos Awareness certificate

Roles and responsibilities

Installing and carrying out passive fire protection works

Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification

Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately

Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work

Liaise with customers and members of the general public

£190.00 per day CIS (based on 8hrs working)
