Senior FF&E Designer

A Senior FF&E job is now available with a design practice based in East London. This is key role in the company's plans for growth, offering the opportunity to lead a team, work on projects from start to installation and managing client relationships. Salary of up to £50,000.

This design studio has over ten years of experience working across a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and BTR developments. Their services include interior design, FF&E, furnishing and procurement for private clients and developers.

They are currently looking for a passionate designer to lead the FF&E side of the business. This will include working on interior design projects from concept development through to completion and designing furniture collections on large residential schemes, gyms, co-working, and all forms of amenity and building requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

- Leading and managing the FF&E team
- Serving as primary point of contact for clients; Leading and developing strong working relationships
- Overseeing all FF&E budgeting, scheduling sourcing and procurement
- Developing design concepts and confidently presenting them to clients and investors
- Preparing and reviewing detailed drawings, specifications and material selections
- Working with the wider team on bespoke joinery designs
- Collaborating with suppliers and manufacturers
- Liaising with PM's and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery and installation of the projects
- Overseeing the installation of projects, including styling & overseeing photoshoots.

Required Skills & Experience

- 7+ years' experience in FF&E / Interior Design in the UK
- Proven experience working on residential and hospitality / commercial projects
- Experience managing and mentoring a design team
- A passion for FF&E, design, art and aesthetics, with good knowledge of suppliers, product and
specialist finishes
- A good knowledge of and relationships with the suppliers of contract furniture
- General knowledge of interior architecture with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
- Proven experience in managing procurement and installations (budgeting, scheduling etc)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience using MS Office and Estimac
- Legal right to work in the UK.
