Job Description

Our client in the Aviation sector is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Lead to step into a pivotal role as their current manager transitions out within the next 12 weeks.

This is a fully remote position with the opportunity for a handover period if you are on a 4-week notice. You’ll report directly to the Managing Director and play a key role in managing and organising the IT infrastructure function and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage the IT infrastructure team (2) and critical projects.
- Lead significant upcoming initiatives, such as reviewing the company's MDM licensing model and evaluating a potential move to Cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with and manage relationships with external suppliers.
- Provide hands-on technical support, including handling escalations, managing servers, and offering expert technical guidance.
- Autonomously drive infrastructure projects, from planning to proposing solutions to the MD.

Key Skills & Experience:

- Proven track record of managing/mentoring infrastructure engineers and leading technical projects.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, Docker, Hyper-V, Cisco, and Data Centre environments.
- Strong project management capabilities and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Ability to work independently and proactively deliver infrastructure solutions.

- Previous success mentoring and leading remote employees
