Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) • Cardiopulmonary, Night Shift
Job Description:
We're seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for our Cardiopulmonary department, working night shifts.
Education and Certification:
• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapists program.
• Valid state license for Respiratory Care.
• RRT or CRT certification, with RRT obtained within 120 days of employment.
• Current BLS certification.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to interact with diverse patients and maintain their dignity.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in respiratory care skills.
Essential Functions:
• Confirm and assess physician orders.
• Notify staff of unusual patient reactions.
• Perform respiratory procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
• Maintain equipment and administer medical gases and medications.
• Participate in patient care teams and quality improvement programs.
• Contribute to policy and procedure development.
• Attend in•services, meetings, and conferences.
