Small, friendly, privately owned construction company are hiring to provide support to the team
Job role description:
We are looking for a high energy, dynamic candidate to fill and grow into a role in our family run business. The role is varied and will suit a person looking to get into the construction industry office environment. Reporting into the Commercial Management Team, responsibilities will include:
* Compiling Buy / Sell forecast documents
* Compiling Procurement Schedules
* Compiling material call of lists for projects
* Preparation of Individual Project duration Programs for consideration and approval by the senior management team
* Day to day monitoring of project progress in support of the Contracts Supervisor and Contracts Director
* Maintaining delivery note/conveyance note schedules
* Managing and recording incoming deliveries
* Communicating directly to the labourer workforce, directives from Management
* Compiling project packs consisting of RAMS & BofQ’s, general project information
Essential Skills:
* Good proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Strong communication skills
* Moderate understanding of Quantity Surveying
* Moderate understanding of construction and the construction industry
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
Preferred Skills:
(Not essential, as can be learnt during the job)
* Knowledge of groundworks and civils
* Reading drawings and compiling Take-offs
* Project Management
* Procurement / Buying negotiation
