SSQ is proud to exclusively represent a boutique professional services firm in their search for a Head of Law to spearhead the growth and development of their legal consulting business. This role is tailored for a seasoned legal director, GC or legal generalist with a passion for entrepreneurship, networking, and business leadership.

The Role:

As the newly appointed Head of Law, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding the legal business working with a range of SME clients across various sectors (retail, leisure, hospitality, technology, property, services, etc). Your responsibilities will encompass leading and managing the business unit's team, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and KPIs. In your capacity as the head of the business, you will actively cultivate client relationships, delivering straightforward legal advice. The bulk of the work will be general commercial, governance, data privacy, compliance, governance and corporate law.

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, with a minimum of 10+ years PQE.
• Extensive expertise in commercial law ideally focussed on the SME market.
• Strong business acumen, understanding clients' business needs and challenges.
• Excellent written and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals, SME's and HNWI's.

**Please note this role requires candidates to be present in the office 4 days a week. Therefore you must be able to commute to north London on a daily basis.
