Class 3 Building Control Enforcement Manager

Job Description
MMP Consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Control Enforcement Manager on behalf of a West London based Local Authority to lead a Building Control team in delivering compliance and enforcement services. The successful candidate will oversee the issuance of compliance and stop notices, manage responses to dangerous structures, and lead the 24/7 Dangerous Structures Team.
This is initially a temporary interim contract for 3 months subject to likely extension. The successful candidate will work on a hybrid basis with some on-site requirements. The rate of pay is £575pd inside of IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation of compliance and stop notices for Building Control applications.
* Oversee responses to dangerous structures, manage contracts, and supervise a dedicated 24/7 emergency team.
* Guide and manage a team of Building Control specialists, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
* Ensure all enforcement actions adhere to legal requirements, particularly the Building Regulations and London Building Acts.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
* Expertise in Building Regulations and London Building Acts.
* Registered to Class 3 with the Building Safety Regulator.
* Proven experience leading professionals in a Building Control environment.
* Familiar with legal processes related to Building Control and enforcement.
* Experience managing dangerous structures and leading emergency responses
