Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer with experience in Drainage & Highways, to join their team.
About the role:
To deliver drainage & highway designs on all the projects.
Responsibilities:
* Work within a team & give specialist knowledge and drainage/highways designs as well as other projects
* Represent the company at various clients
* To deliver technical expertise to colleagues and clients
* Identify project risks and opportunities
* Co-ordinate tenders
* Be able to input into civil engineering tendering processes by:
* Reviewing client ITTs
* Develop civil design strategies
Requirements:
Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering or Chartered or working towards
* CAD package experience as well as Flow or Micro Drainage
* Minimum of 5 years working on projects where drainage/highways was a key/integral component of the design
* Flood risk assessment awareness
* Must have knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff
* Must have knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106 and S185 drainage schemes
* A civil design environment preferably within a consultancy environment
* Complete site visits and surveys
* Infrastructure project exposure ideally in rail or power stations
