Network Automation Engineer

Job Description : We are seeking a skilled Network Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to streamline network operations. This role involves leveraging Python and various network protocols to enhance efficiency and integration within our network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities : Design and Develop Automation Solutions : - Create and implement automation scripts and tools using Python to improve network operations and efficiency. - Develop automation workflows to handle routine network tasks, configurations, and monitoring. Protocol Utilization : - Use network protocols such as Netconf and Restconf to programmatically interact with network devices, ensuring seamless configuration and management. - Ensure automation solutions effectively utilize these protocols to communicate with network devices. Automation Libraries : - Leverage libraries and tools like Netmiko, Paramiko, and NAPALM to automate device provisioning, configuration, and monitoring. - Stay updated with the latest versions and best practices of these libraries to maintain robust automation solutions. Cross-Functional Collaboration : - Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and software developers, to integrate automation solutions into our existing network architecture. - Ensure that new automation solutions are compatible with current systems and workflows. Software-Defined Networking (SDN) : - Contribute to the development and maintenance of SDN solutions, focusing on innovation and optimization within our network infrastructure. - Support the integration of SDN technologies with automation tools to enhance network performance and flexibility. Documentation and Reporting : - Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation solutions, including design, implementation, and operational procedures. - Provide regular reports on the status and performance of automation projects and tools. Troubleshooting and Support : - Diagnose and resolve issues related to network automation and device configurations. - Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed. Qualifications : Education : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field. Experience : - Experience in network automation and network engineering. Skills : - Proficiency in Python programming, with a strong understanding of automation and scripting. - Experience with network protocols such as Netconf and Restconf. - Familiarity with automation libraries like Netmiko, Paramiko, and NAPALM. - Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) concepts and technologies. - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities (ref:hirist.tech)
