Information System Auditor - IT Controls

Qualifications : Mandatory : Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field. - A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT auditing, information security, or related fields. Key Responsibilities : Conduct IT Audits : Perform comprehensive audits of the auditees's information systems, applications, and IT infrastructure to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations. Risk Assessment : Identify and evaluate IT risks within the auditees, recommending appropriate controls and mitigations. Audit Planning and Execution : Develop audit plans and programs, execute audit procedures, and document findings in accordance with audit standards. Policy and Procedure Review : Assess the adequacy of IT policies, procedures, and controls, providing recommendations for improvements where necessary. Compliance Monitoring : Examine compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies related to information systems and make suitable recommendations / reports. Reporting : Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations, and present them to senior management and stakeholders. Follow-Up : Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and perform follow-up audits to ensure corrective actions have been taken. Collaboration : Work closely with IT, risk management, and other departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the organization's IT environment and control processes. Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest developments in IT auditing, cybersecurity, and risk management, and apply this knowledge to improve audit practices and frameworks. Skills Required : Strong understanding of IT control frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, and NIST. Proficiency in using audit management software and tools. Experience in auditing cloud computing environments. Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques. Experience of working in BFSI sector (ref:hirist.tech)
