Functional Test Engineer - UAT

SALARY : 7LPA - : Bachelor's degree in BCOM / BA/ BSC, MBA, Banking / Finance, or a related field. Experience : Minimum 1- 2 years of experience in BFSI industry Key Responsibilities : UAT Planning and Execution : - Develop and execute comprehensive UAT test plans and test cases based on business requirements and project specifications. - Coordinate and execute UAT testing activities to validate system functionality, data integrity, and user interface usability. Requirement Analysis : - Review and analyze bank's requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to understand the testing scope. - Work with business analysts and stakeholders to clarify requirements and address any discrepancies. Test Documentation : - Create detailed UAT test scenarios, test scripts, and test data based on business / bank's processes. - Execute UAT test cases to validate the functionality of the banking modules, including but not limited to customer accounts, loans, deposits, payments, trade finance and treasury operations. - Perform functional, integration, and regression testing of banking operations processes. - Validate transaction flows, interest calculations, accounting entries, and reporting outputs. - Document and report defects, issues, and test results using defect tracking tools and provide recommendations for resolution. Collaboration and Communication : - Act as the liaison between business users and the technical team to ensure effective communication and understanding of testing requirements. - Facilitate UAT sessions, coordinate user feedback, and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned. - Issue Management : - Identify, log, and track defects through to resolution, ensuring timely resolution and retesting of issues. - Monitor and report on testing progress, providing updates to project managers and stakeholders as needed. Training and Support : - Provide support to end-users during UAT, including training and guidance on new systems or features. - Assist with the development of user documentation and training materials. Continuous Improvement : - Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify areas for process improvement. - Contribute to the development and enhancement of UAT methodologies and best practices. Skills : - Experience with Oracle Flexcube, Intellect Core. - Experience with banking operations, banking software platforms and core banking systems. - Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in banking - Strong understanding of banking processes, systems, and regulations. - Experience with test automation tools is a plus. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (ref:hirist.tech)
