BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTORS - NEW PERM ROLE ALERT!


£100/120k DOE (+ Bonus)

HYBRID/London – 1/2 days a week in the office

‍Building a Global Design Practice using growth strategies

It would be highly beneficial if you have a track history with selling Design solutions


The Team You’ll Be Working With:


You'll be part of a global network with over 16 design studios around the world, bringing together design, technology, and strategy. The mission? To craft products and services that actually make people’s lives better. It's all about simplifying the complicated and creating meaningful experiences that help people and society.


What You’ll Be Doing:


You’ll take the lead in driving pre-sales and sales efforts, with a focus on the automotive and banking industries. The goal? Build relationships with new and existing clients, spot opportunities, and deliver proposals that win. You’ll also be there to help close deals.


Here’s the breakdown:


  • You’ll scope out and frame client challenges (including working with C-suite folks) and lead design projects from strategy and research all the way to prototyping and implementation.
  • You’ll own the project pipeline and keep it running smoothly.
  • You’ll design and run workshops and other pre-sales sessions to guide clients from high-level strategy down to actual solutions.
  • You’ll build strong partnerships with clients and expand your network both inside and outside the company.
  • You’ll help grow our Automotive and Banking offerings, working alongside industry experts to shape where we’re going next.


What You’ll Bring:


  • You’ve got solid experience in presales, bidding, pitching, and closing deals, especially in a design consultancy or agency setting. You know how to put together winning proposals and RFx responses.
  • You’ve built new client relationships and successfully secured design projects, working closely with sales teams.
  • You’ve led larger design programs that cover the full process—from strategy and concept development to design and agile digital product development.
  • You’re great at turning ideas into reality, with strong skills in conceptualizing and communicating innovative ideas and strategies.
  • You’ve got a passion for solving complex challenges with a mix of smart analysis and practical design thinking.
  • You’re interested in emerging tech like voice assistants, AI, AR/VR, and you’ve had some hands-on experience with them.


Plus, you’re resilient and thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. You also bring:


  • A focus on quality, with a proven track record of delivering high-standard responses.
  • The ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Confidence when presenting to senior client stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of trends in the automotive and banking industries, with insights into how design can best serve these sectors.


What you need to stand out from the crowd:


  • Come with a Consulting or Agency background on on global transformation programmes, leading design programmes (UX/UI), from strategy, implementation and execution.
  • Be ultra skilled in a sales cycle, from defining needs and shaping requirements in a workshop environment
  • Come with a proven background in enterprise sales with a proven track record in the tech/design industry.
