For our Client, a global business services center in Cracow, we are looking for the Candidate to join the following position:

Indirect Tax Specialist

Your responsibilities

• Assist in assigned VAT returns, Intrastat, EC Sales Lists and other VAT-related reports across multiple jurisdictions in the EMEA, APAC and Canada ensuring accurate and timely filing
• Handle assigned Sales & Use tax returns for the US, ensuring accurate and timely filing
• Assist in the preparation of WHT declarations
• Assist in establishing new VAT registrations in new countries as part of the company’s expansion
• Conduct reconciliation of VAT accounts
• Assist in indirect tax audits and collaborate with tax authorities and external advisors across various countries
• Ensure timely processing of VAT payments/refunds
• Participate in automation projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Employer requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (graduate) in business/economics/law
• Proficient understanding of indirect tax compliance across Europe, with 3+ years of experience in a similar role
• Crucial familiarity with SAP and its VAT reporting capabilities, coupled with strong data analytics skills
• Understanding of supply chain structures
• Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills
• Knowledge of VAT in a Business to Consumer setup will be an asset
• Experience with Sales and Use tax, Property Tax, or other tax jurisdictions outside Europe would be beneficial
• Excellent command of the English language
